The "Homestead Life" Photography Series

When I first began my photography adventure, it started with landscape scenes and memorable photos of my own child. Overnight, it grew into a business, and I found myself capturing the joys of others' lives behind my lens -- newborns, expecting moms, families, newly engaged couples, and couples who just took those sacred "I do" vows.

I love my job, but in the earlier years, I found myself doing more of what I "had" to do, and less of what I loved to do. Oh, how I have missed those glory filled landscapes and simplistic views. One of my goals this year was to begin a series I've wanted to begin for a very long time. It will never, ever end. And in all honesty, it began long before now.

I want to make it personal, I want to document lives. I want to document my own life. I want to capture those little boy giggles that I won't remember fifty years from now. I want to capture that big black dog's baby eyes looking at me, because he will be gone far too soon. I want to capture my husbands hard working hands, and that rough beard before "beard season" is over. And I want to capture the simple everyday things that go on in our lives. Because those are the things I want to remember the most.

DO NOT SHARE WITHOUT PERMISSION.

You will be able to find this ongoing series for sale on my Etsy Website. All of these photos -- past, present, and future -- will be for sale, except the ones of my son, which are for my own personal use.
You will not find those photos on my Etsy site.
PLEASE do not share those photos without permission.

Most of the photos in this series will be black and white. However, there will always be a color option available if there is interest.

You'll see the photos riddled through out the blog every now and then. And I hope, if nothing more, you can catch a glimpse of just how beautiful and memorable this simple "Homestead Life" really is.
