Lifestyle Portraits | "A Day in the Life" Package

When I first started my photography business, I loved the modern posed photos, but I especially loved the non-posed ones -- those moments in between poses that I captured without my clients even realizing it.

Like this one:

I told them to look at each other, and then one of them to look at me. They got confused with who should look at me, and it ended up that the pose worked out perfectly. They were in the midst of laughing at each other....and everything else fell into place. Those smiles, they are perfectly natural. And those are the best smiles!!

It wasn't until recently that my love for real lifestyle portraiture became more prominent. I love capturing the everyday life of my son -- be it the good times or the bad times (permanent marker on the walls, lotion in the carpet). They are memories -- memories in which I love have a crisp clean photo of. None of these instagram and crummy grainy cell phone pictures (though I'm guilty of taking them) that I'll never take off of the internet or phone.
I noticed that other families want those moments captured as well. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "I wish I could take good photos of my kids so that I could treasure every single moment of our daily life".

With that said, I have now decided to start offering "A Day in the Life" sessions.

These sessions will begin at $275 (2 hr session) and the price will go up from there depending on the length of the session. I will offer up to 6 hours (for now).

During these sessions, I'll simply act as a 'fly on the wall' at times. The first hour will be used to get to know your family a little more and see how you interact with one another. Once your family (children, especially) are comfortable with me being there, they will most likely go about their regular day. And that's exactly what I want them to do :)

Because then, I get to capture moments like this one:

and these:

The possibilities of captured moments are endless. Whether it's your children helping you wash the dishes or bake cookies, or your other half stealing a kiss from you while giving the kids a bath before bed time. All of those moments are special to you, and I want to make them even better by freezing that one sweet moment in time. Something you often don't get to stop, and enjoy with your own eyes, now becomes a memory you can cherish forever.

If you are interested in setting up an "A Day in the Life" session, I would be delighted to chat with you about it (the best times to photograph your family, family routines, schedules, etc). First and foremost, you must be comfortable with me as a photographer and as someone who'll be photographing your family within your home. I'd like to not only get to know you through our session, but for you to get to know me!

Send me an email amy.fewell@gmail.com or give me a call 540-827-8285.
