hello september

It's hard to believe that September is already here. As I drive down my back country road, I notice some peaks of red and yellow on the trees. Just a hint, but they are there at times. We recently purchased a year long pass to Shenandoah National Park, which is only about 15 minutes from us. I foresee a lot of hiking and Fall photo taking in our future. I can't wait.

There are a lot of other things coming up as well -- Fall photo sessions will be in full swing soon. I am once again offering mini sessions, details will be listed below. And I'm quick at work trying to figure out a set-up for our Christmas mini sessions. I'm not sure if I want to go with the Christmas tree farm again this year, or if I just want to do a cut little set-up. Either way, I'll be offering them again this year as well. Again, details will be listed below.

{Fall Mini Session} The Foard Family

There are those families throughout my career that make me feel like a part of them when I am around. The Foard's are one of those families. I can remember how shy and timid Harry was when I first took their fall family photos four years ago. And I can definitely remember how much of a nervous wreck I was. They were my very first paid family session, and I was terrified I couldn't deliver.

They were gracious and told me they loved their photos from that day, and maybe they still do, but as I look back, I am amazed by how much my style and technique has grown. But most of all, I am amazed by how much little Harry has grown. This kid keeps me laughing, and his curly hair is just a mama's dream. Now, Harry doesn't shy away from me at all. In fact, he's quite the ham for the camera. And I love it.

Here are a few of my favorites from their session a few weeks ago....

I know his face is crazy in this last photo, but it was just too cute not to share!

Thank you so much, Rick and Stephanie, for once again allowing me to capture your beautiful family. I hope you enjoy your photos!!

xoxo

{Fall Mini Sessions} The Entire Month of October!

It's time to start thinking about those Fall family photo sessions!

Now is the perfect time to book your fall mini session for the month of October, during peak leaf season.

Cost is $125 for a 20-30 minute session | 10+ digital images through instant download | complete printing rights | and only in the Fauquier/Culpeper/Rappahannock area.

Popular locations this year are Crockett Park, Culpeper Feed (beside the depot, best on Sundays when they are closed), Private Remington Farm, Private Castleton Farm....and so many more!

These photos are great for Christmas cards, Christmas gifts, or just to add that spark of color to your wall...especially to get you through the winter months!

This year, as with years past, I have once again decided to offer these mini sessions for the entire month of October. I had thought about doing them on just particular days, but I love my clients way too much for that. Each and every one of you has a busy schedule, just like me, so I wanted to offer the entire month so that we could work around your schedule, and the weather, of course.

Please contact me ASAP if you are interested in a Fall Mini Session for the month of October. These will not last long, as seen in previous years when I had to turn people away :( I will try my hardest NOT to turn anyone away this year!

Please contact me at amy.fewell@gmail.com, 540.827.8285 or on facebook. If you do not receive a reply within 48 hrs through email or phone contact, please try facebook. Unfortunately, technology can be silly at times, and I have horrible cell service at home.

If it is not for a mini but a full session, additional deposit is required.

A $35 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS DUE WHEN BOOKING ANY OF THESE SESSIONS!! Obviously some of the details need to be ironed out, but once you commit, that deposit is due by paypal immediately.

Jason, Marie + Boys! | Fall Session {Sneak Peek}

A couple of weeks ago I met up with Jason, Marie and these handsome boys at a local favorite, Crockett Park. I think I always find new places to take photos there whenever I have a session. It is a never ending canvas for photos.

I have a lot of clients with amazingly well behaved children, but I have to say, this group of boys never ceases to amaze me. They are so well behaved and so extremely easy to photograph. They are ready and willing to do anything you ask them to, and never once do they complain...not even a sigh! I love this little family to pieces!!!

Here are a few of my favorites from their session.
Speaking of new favorite spots....this is one of them. I often wondered how to incorporate this walkway into photos....now I know :)

Real smiles are the best smiles :) I never realized how extremely awkward it is for people to look at each other....but it is!! And that's ok, because they make the best poses!

Poor Dustin (middle/oldest) broke his collar bone a week or so before his session. Poor thing looked like he was in pain!! I hope he wasn't!! :(

I just loooove his little smile. I love editing his pictures because every time I see his smile, I smile :)
See what I'm sayin'?! You totally just smiled didn't you :)

His brothers have pretty awesome smiles too :)

And this little fella...he's too cute to handle! ;)

Jason + Marie, thank you so so so much for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family. I hope that you enjoy the rest of your photos, and I can't wait to see you again!!

xoxo

Family Portraits | Old Town Warrenton

I first photographed this beautiful family last year, and it is so neat to see how big their two little guys have gotten. Last year we stayed around the Train Depot, but this year we ventured out to Main Street!

Here are a few of my favorites from their session:

Little Andrew was a typical little wiggle worm boy :) But it made for some great candid photos!

LOVED this old green door we found!

I wish the sun wouldn't have been so bright here, but I love this pic of mom and Owen!

Thank you guys so much for allowing me to photograph your adorable family again this year!!

xoxo
